The Omsk State Academic Drama Theater is the largest and oldest Russian academic drama theater in Siberia. The theater building is an object of cultural heritage (architectural monument) of the Russian Federation. In 1987, according to old photographs, with some changes, the sculpture of the "Winged Genius" was restored — the pediment of the theater was decorated with a winged female figure with a lyre in a raised hand (sculptors S. A. Golovantsev and L. I. Semenov). In 1983, the busts of A.P. Chekhov and L.N. Tolstoy were cast anew (sculptor V.A. Shamardin, restorer T.V. Shamardina).
